Spiritual Healing
Understanding the Process

Healing has no finish line or completion point. So to ask "when does healing stop?" is like asking "where is the horizon?". As our world spins this line moves and our answer is circular - no beginning... no end. Healing is a process not a destination

"When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way." Wayne Dyer

Understanding the Process - The Pressure Cooker
When you go through the spiritual healing process, all sorts of confusing, conflicting uncomfortable thoughts and feelings may come to the surface. When this happens, it's natural to think that the healing is not working. This can't be further from the truth. Of course we all want a quick fix or easy way out of every problem, but to be successful with anything in life (especially healing), one must be able to stay in the process and not bail out when the going gets tough. It's like using a pressure cooker - you have to keep the lid sealed on tight if you want your food to cook quickly and completely. If you are really serious about healing, give it a chance - do enough sessions and see what happens.

Similar to the the transformation of caterpillar to butterfly, the transformation of your soul does not happen in the light but in the dark, does not happen instantly but over time, does not happen by self effort but by letting go and surrendering to God. Don’t be in such a rush to leave the cocoon before the miracle completes.

Unreasonable Expectations
If you come to this work expecting instant results
(like you have come and left so many other things)
you will be setting yourself up to again be disappointed.

We are quick to compare (and judge) all healers against histories extraordinary (if not mythic) examples. Jesus's life (to the extent it was accurately recorded) is a great example to emulate, but it also leaves the impression that healing is a one shot deal or quick fix. Jesus did not instantaneously cure or totally enlighten everyone who came to him. There are a few stories where his intervention made possible the blind to see and the crippled to walk... yet we are more than physical bodies with physical ailments - we are extremely complex beings who exist on more levels of reality than we are aware. Healing on all these levels (of the body mind heart and soul) is a long process that takes a lot of faith, patience, persistence and hard work. And this was why Jesus's disciples were with him for a few years - healing and enlightenment is more involved than can be transmitted in a few meetings (or sessions).

The Beatitudes
(Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 6:20-23)
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

The Contradictions
Though no "sane" person would willingly put themselves in such a position, healing carries with it conflict and uncertainty. This is the contradiction of a spiritual life:
Those who lose win.
Those who come last are first.
Those who give receive.
Those who brave darkness become light

"The Dark Night of the Soul"
Jesus said “Follow me and take up your cross”.
When a person is going through the healing process, they may feel as if dropped into a dark impenetrable shadow, treading in an empty space, weighed down by deep despair, boxed in by thick walls of resistance (hardly descriptions of anything pleasant or nice). All uncomfortable feelings, no doubt. And you may think "Spirit is doing all this to me". Not true. All that you are experiencing and feeling pre-existed within you, long before "we" Spirit came along and activated your healing. Everything you experience is inside you somewhere, buried, lost, or hidden deep within. Spirit is simply "stirring the pot" of your subconscious mind and energy field, bringing up what stuff needs to be transformed, healed or released.

Though this healing work may intensify your feelings and enhance your awareness beyond what you normally experience, to participate in the healing process does require faith and trust - when your experience is troubling or painful... and faith and trust - when you experience nothing at all.

There are times you may feel nothing happening during a healing sessions (at various stages along the path, this is common). At other times you may feel like you are plugged into the universal wall socket.... The range of experiences are virtually infinite (see Testimonials).

Life on the healing path may feel like a fast furious ride on a roller coaster, a slow arduous climb up a mountain, a leisurely drive down the highway, a wade in the shallow end of a clear pool, a plunge into the murky depths of an ocean. Accept and flow with whatever comes and you will be effortlessly carried deeper and deeper into your core.

This is extremely advanced work that goes to the root causes of your condition - to the very highest, lowest, deepest and most peripheral levels of your being. Very few souls are aware of everything that occurs on all these levels, least of all on the higher dimensions and subtle energy fields extending way far off the body. No matter, every session has some affect whether you are aware of it or not. I have found that most women (generally) are more apt to have a heightened sensitivity (and receptivity) to this work due in part to a greater attention they have given to their emotional and psychic awareness... in contrast to most men (in this westernized society at least) who are (generally) over-fixated on the physical body and intellect.

The Delayed Reaction Phenomena
If you feel nothing during a healing session, you may notice changes in your mood and energy the next morning, or within a few days. If not, don't worry.

Healing that occurs on the higher dimensions of your soul... on the peripheral layers of your energy field... in the deepest wells of your heart... takes time to trickle down into your human awareness.

Seeing the Forest from the Trees
When you are in the midst of your own "stuff, it's very difficult to have a clear perspective about where you are at in your healing process and spiritual path. This is why others (who are more objective) usually see the changes in you when you do not. This is also why it is important to work with a healer - they have already been on this journey and know their way through.

Building a Foundation
This work is cumulative: each session builds on and magnifies the results of previous sessions. In other words, the more healing work you do, the greater the results you receive. If you only do one session, I am sure it will be of some benefit (perhaps even saving you from some unnecessary hardship, pain and suffering further on down the road). But if you want to receive the maximum benefits from this work, many sessions are needed.

Your Truth
The healing work does not make you experience something that is not already inside of you... nor does it make you feel something that you would not otherwise experience at some (near or distant) time in your future. Rather, it simply helps bring all that is the "Truth" of who you are and what you hold within (be it light or dark, good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant) up to the surface of your conscious awareness... there to be transformed and healed in a safer, faster and easier manner than if you did it alone.

This healing work is Not about avoiding reality
It IS about uncovering and releasing lifetimes of: emotional buttons that keep you in reaction, psychic traumas that make life distressing, subconscious shadows that sabotage relationships, addictions that control your life actions, secret memories that trouble your dreams, resistances holding you in ignorance denial and fear... All this (and more) are festering under the surfac, slowly and insidiously eroding your passion.

Judge Not
Judgement is a function of the ego mind designed to protect the psyche from being overwealmed by something not yet understood or managable. When we (our ego mind) judges an experience, feeling or memory as undesirable or uncontrolable... it is condemned and suppressed into the shadows of the subconscious and or projected out into the universe onto others. But the truth is, that which is rejected is simply a form of energy we do not yet know how to work with.. and as such, it holds a tremendous power that can be used for personal transformation and healing. If we can release the judgment, we may see these feelings of anger, grief, sadness and depression in ourselves and in others as gifts or "opportunities" for change (instead of things to get rid of and blame). This healing work offers a sacred container that - without judgement or condemnation - accepts, embraces and understands All that you hold within, allowing sadness to transform to joy, anger to peace, fear to love, and shadow to light.

Sometimes our truth is fiery bold and angry
Because of its potential as a destructive force, the energy of anger has been quite maligned in our society. It has been suppressed, repressed, misjudged, misunderstood, misdirected, misused and feared... yet anger in its pure form is just the raw and primal creative life force. The pure energy of anger is not bad in and of itself, only in how we use or abuse it (remember Jesus in the Temple with the money changers). In my opinion, suppressed anger is the # 1 emotional energetic cause of cancer (and many other illnesses).

Sometimes our truth is inward quiet and sad
We expect of ourselves to always have a happy face, to always be positive and strong... and if we are not there is something wrong. There is much in our personal and collective (world) history that we could and should be sad about. Many of us have had terribly painful experiences that wounded us deeply... and still we may secretly feel helpless or powerless about them. We have a right to feel sad, angry and cry - it is a part of our life experience - a part of our "Truth"... and that part holds a special gift, a lesson, some wisdom, a deeper insight into being human.

Crazy Wisdom
The human ego minds' tendency is to judge, label and energetically charge our experiences with a negative or positive spin. Creating a personal story around or about our experience does not make it the "Ultimate Truth"... only a truth that exists in our own minds. If we want to experience ourselves within a grander context, it's important to align or harmonize our small selves to the ways our "Higher Selves" sees and know us.

Spirit sees us and our lives
clearly.. completely.. unconditionally, in the fullness of one moment.. and for all time, beginning to end.. forwards and backwards.. fast and slow, upside-down.. inside-out.. around and about

But as long as we judge our life experiences according to conceptual ego mind understanding, our lives will never be 100% aligned to what is the Universal Eternal Ultimate "Truth" (especially when what we judge as “bad”, Spirit may consider “good”). Taking Spirits perspective on as ones own is called “Crazy Wisdom”.

"Good" or "Bad", All that happens on this earthly plane is used by Spirit in ways beyond our conscious knowing or controlling. From Spirits perspective, there are no unplanned accidents... All is used to process out our karma, learn our soul lessons and evolve into and manifest our highest potential.

In the healing process we may see, feel, and become intimately reacquainted with parts of ourselves that are rotten, dark, smelly, not very nice or pretty. Whatever comes up, remember “This Too Shall Pass”.

This healing work is designed to accelerate your healing process. That it uncovers some unpleasant thoughts and feelings may not always feel like a blessing, but if you do the work long enough, you will come to know it is ALL good.

This healing work will help you process, layer by layer, bit by bit, the illusions and untruths from out of your mind and heart  From this clarity you will feel and finally know The God Self, Your Inner Love Essence, Universal Eternal Ultimate Truth.
